To Whom It May Concern:
It is a pleasure to be writing a letter to recommend Karen Veltri, a consummate professional, capable of undertaking any project with energy, dedication, a strong commitment to quality, and a great sense of humor.
I met Karen four years ago when she was opening CKC Designs in The Mall at Short Hills. In addition to her breadth of knowledge of the design business, I was impressed with her personal attention to, and enjoyment of, the myriad of details involved with creating ideas, choosing materials, implementing plans, and follow-through on every project. Complete customer satisfaction is her goal for every job she undertakes.
I purchased a floor from CKC, and Karen helped select the hardwood, negotiated a significant price discount for me, and arranged for the installation. I was delighted with the floor, but what is most impressive is that when she came to inspect the job, she spotted installation errors that she insisted be fixed in order to ensure the longevity and durability of the flooring. Naturally, after that, I was even more delighted.
In the time I have known her, Karen has always been involved in philanthropic pursuits. Her boundless energy and enthusiasm have made a critical difference in the efforts of several not-for-profits such as the Food Bank, Family Promise, and The Fortnightly Club. I introduced her to my workplace, Chatham Day School, and she arranged a significant contribution for the school’s annual fundraiser.
Karen takes a deep interest in the lives of many people and causes. She understands not only the value of helping others, but the importance of bringing a dedicated work ethic to everything she does.
It is this combination of professional and personal characteristics that allow me to recommend her enthusiastically and without reservation.
Sincerely,
Nina Leach

Dear Karen,
Now that we have completed our first project together, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for working with me on our dream house. Nick and I are thrilled with how the bathrooms and mudroom have come together.
Trying to design a master bathroom for a nineteenth century home while preserving the Koa wood from the original bathroom presented quite a challenge. You listened carefully to our needs and, thinking outside the box, helped us to develop a vision for a spa bathroom that could easily fit into any home environment. Even the small finishing touches – the candles and dried flower arrangements – truly pull the room together. Most important, by finding creative ways to preserve the good and dispense with the truly awful, you allowed us to create a sanctuary on a very reasonable budget.
Equally wonderful are the charming powder room and beautiful, yet highly functional mud room. Being on the first floor, they flow perfectly from the more formal rooms, combining old world charm with high functionality.
We genuinely enjoyed working with you. Your style and down-to-earth manner, not to mention your humor, distinguish you from the pack: first, your ability to listen and look and learn made it feel as if you stood behind my eyes as you looked at the possibilities; second, your willingness and flexibility to work with me on my terms and at my comfort level made it easy to accomplish so much so quickly; third, your charm and sense of humor made it fun.
Thank you for helping us make this house our home. We love it and will look forward to working with you again as we take on other rooms and projects. We would recommend you very highly to others.
Warm regards,
Tracy McKee
